Dominik Fleischmann

I am a visual artist from a small town in Germany. I studied Photography in Berlin (BA) and Helsinki (MA). I like to take cheesy pictures of dogs and sunsets while searching for happy endings on this journey of suffering in the relationship of humans and nature.

My main influences come from literature, environmental activism, feminist movements, and the people behind them.

My artistic projects have been kindly supported by Olga and Vilho Linnamo Foundation, Urban APA, Finnish Cultural Foundation, Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and VG Bildkunst KULTURWERK - Neu Start Kultur. For my recent work, I was awarded the Young Artist Grant 2022 by The Finnish Art Society.
